Can CBP Chiropractic adjustments help with indigestion?

August 8, 2018 by Desire Treski Leave a Comment

Can CBP Chiropractic adjustments help with indigestion?

It can if your indigestion is coming from a structural problem. There are nerves that control your digestive function and digestion, believe it or not, begins in the mouth with your saliva, which is why you should chew your food. Incorporating a lot of saliva into your chewing will begin to break down the food.

If you have a subluxation, which is a misalignment of the spine, anywhere from the very top of your neck all the way to the beginning of your low back, there is potential for you to have incomplete digestion. The nerves control your mouth, your esophagus, the stomach, the small intestine, the large intestine, and all other digestive organs. If you have a subluxation anywhere in those nerves, it can compress those nerves, therefore giving you incomplete digestion. This can lead to acid reflux or heartburn.

What are some indications of improper digestion?

Acid reflux and heartburn can also come from incomplete digestion because of a person’s inability to digest certain foods. People who are lactose intolerant or have celiac disease don’t have the proper enzymes in their body to digest those foods properly and can cause things like acid reflux and heartburn.

However, if you have a subluxation in your body it can cause indigestion and by getting the spine re-aligned you can reduce the likelihood of getting heartburn, incomplete food digestion or even allergies. Food allergies come from a food build up in the body and if your body is not digesting them correctly it can lead to food allergies.

Get a check-up from a CBP Chiropractor

You can prevent all these things by getting regular adjustments from a CBP Chiropractor. How Do Rotator Cuff Injuries Happen?

August 1, 2018 by Desire Treski Leave a Comment

Have you ever had a shoulder pain that just wouldn’t go away? Maybe you couldn’t determine when it started or how but it bothers you. You could have a rotator cuff injury from overuse. Seeing a CBP Chiropractor can help get you back pain-free.

How do rotator cuff injuries happen?

The most common cause is a trauma, like a car accident, work injury, fitness injury, or just wear and tear. Wear and tear comes from overuse. For example, baseball players tend to sustain rotator cuff injuries due to wear and tear over time and could lead to a tear.

Can improper structure lead to rotator cuff injuries?

If you don’t have the proper structure in the shoulder joint, if it is subluxated, it can lead to improper forces on the muscles and tendons which can result in tendon/muscle damage. A lot of injuries that people have seemingly out of nowhere if it is not an obvious trauma, is usually an overuse, wear and tear type of thing. That over the years they were slowly creating wear and tear on those muscles and joints, which they were not addressing, by getting regular adjustments and stretching. What ends up happening is the wear and tear on the ligaments starts to create damage and then eventually, the smallest of stimulus could cause a complete tear of the ligament.

One of the other things that can cause rotator cuff injuries is the way the joints are shaped. Sometimes people have genetic deformities, where the shape of the ball and socket joint is not ideal, and that is not something that anyone can do anything about. If this is the case, strengthening the area is the only thing that can be done.

The rotator cuff is the most complicated series of joints in the body. Anyone of those joints, at any time, could become subluxated, overworked, and ultimately injured. Those injuries are very difficult to come back from.

How can a CBP Chiropractor help?

A CBP Chiropractor can identify what is going on structurally, and if there is something structurally wrong, it can be addressed by adjusting the joints and help the muscles to work more evenly. Seeing a CBP Chiropractor can help to prevent injury.

If someone has had a rotator cuff injury already, they may have had surgery, in that case, what a CBP Chiropractor can do is help by giving exercises to help strengthen the joints that haven’t had surgery on. In addition, they can help by strengthening the muscles around those joints as well.

For the most part, you can prevent those types of injuries if there is not a direct trauma. Getting a check-up with a CBP Doctor will give you the tools you need to strengthen the rotator cuff area and get on the road to living pain-free.

Can CBP Chiropractic care help my balance?

July 25, 2018 by Desire Treski Leave a Comment

Losing one’s balance can happen to anyone. It could be any number of reasons why you or a loved one is losing their balance and getting a checkup with a CBP Chiropractor could help fix the issue.

Cause: Improper Alignment

CBP has helped a lot of people and their balance, especially older people who feel like they are off-balance. Balance problems sometimes come from the way that the spine is shaped. If your spine is very shifted to the right, gravity is going to pull you to the right and you will feel like you are going to fall over, especially as you get older and you start to lose some of the muscle strength that would normally right yourself.

Older people are always falling because they lose their balance, a lot of the time because their spine is shifted. So they are either falling forward because their head is forward and their body is pulled forward or they’re falling to the side because their spine is shifted.

Cause: Inner ear issues

Sometimes balance problems can come from the inner ear. Sometimes as people get older they have more ear wax buildup or they have nerve damage to their ear which can throw off their balance in a major way.

It really depends on what the problem is. If a person has been diagnosed with some type of inner ear problem, like damage to the nerve in the ear, then probably the adjustments won’t help with the balance issues. However, if it is something like impacted ear wax or pressure on the nerve from the neck area, where the nerves control the ear function, then absolutely the corrective adjustments can help.

Seeing a CBP Chiropractor can help you determine a course of action.

It’s just about finding out what’s wrong first. Finding out where the loss of balance is coming from. Is it coming from the inner ear, or a neck subluxation, or the way that your body is shaped? That is the first thing to figure out because then a CBP Chiropractor can figure out whether or not they can help. So start by making an appointment with your CBP Chiropractor and get a check-up. You don’t have to live with poor balance.

How do I get subluxated?

May 30, 2018 by Desire Treski Leave a Comment

Subluxations can happen from big traumas like car accidents, major slips and falls, and sports injuries.  They can happen from small traumas like sitting all day at work or hunching to use your cell phone. Those are microtraumas, as repetitive movements. It is also seen sometimes with people who have repetitive jobs, we often see the same movement patterns which can create subluxations. Just living can subluxate you.

Gravity is a subluxating factor. That’s why it’s important for people to maintain their spinal structure as best as you can because just living life you will get them. Subluxations are inevitable.

Is there anything I can do about them?

Yes. The best thing you can do is to go to a CBP Chiropractor and get a check-up. They will be able to help by adjusting the subluxation but they can also give you exercises to help minimize the repetitive nature of the subluxation.

Only through the care of a CBP doctor can you get the tools necessary to better deal with subluxations and free up the nervous system so that it performs efficiently.

How do I know if I am subluxated?

Subluxations do not always cause pain so sometimes you can know that you’re subluxated if your range of motion is limited. Sometimes you can tell if you have problems that no one can figure out. For example, if you have allergies or asthma out of nowhere or if you have trouble with your organs and no-one can figure out why it can sometimes come from nerve pressure. Body posture is another one, you can sometimes look at someone and see that if their posture is really bad then they are of often subluxated.

You may be subluxated and living with it because you think it’s just old age or something that time can heal. Why take the chance? Look up a CBP doctor in your area and get a checkup. Better health and a better quality of life are awaiting you.

How is CBP different from other Chiropractors?

March 15, 2018 by Desire Treski Leave a Comment

To say all Chiropractors are the same is to say that there is only one doctor for all medical needs from childbirth to surgery. Although that may have been true in the 1600’s, modern medical personnel are as varied in their specialty as there are fish in the sea. The same is true for Chiropractors and CBP chiropractors are the specialists in their field.

What is CBP?

CBP or Chiropractic BioPhysics is the most researched type of Chiropractic care. Education for these Chiropractors does not end with the 3-5 years of Chiropractic schooling. It will include yearly seminars on advancements in their technique as well as the research, clinical trials and writing of studies in order to gain advanced certifications.

CBP uses measurable and repeatable results to show progress. By using x-rays and orthopedic tests, they can track a person’s progress which is seen in the photo below.

So just how different is CBP from other types of Chiropractic care?

It is different in every aspect except for the use of some similar style techniques learned in Chiropractic school. To start, the analysis of the spine is different. CBP Chiropractors do a thorough exam of the spine including orthopedic tests and x-rays to determine structural issues. Other Chiropractors typically will not take x-rays and will begin to adjust just through a cursory exam using palpations of the spine or thermo-scans which are not definitive for diagnosing subluxations, as  they need to be seen on x-ray.

Why are x-rays important?

X-rays are important because they will show definitively what is wrong with the spine. X-rays will show subluxations, but it will also show things that could potentially be dangerous to adjust, like a broken bone. If it’s a hairline fracture, that isn’t something that can be felt through palpations. To adjust without being able to see what exactly is going on in the spine can be dangerous.

Once x-rays are done, what’s next?

Once we know what the issues are with the spine, the technique used is vastly different from other chiropractic care. CBP chiropractors do mirror-image adjustments versus what is learned in chiropractic school, which is a non-specific type of adjustment. CBP targets specific issues you have with your spine.

For example, if your lower back aches, the issue might be that you are carrying your head too far forward and it is putting extra pounds of pressure on your lower spine. This issue would be identified by a CBP chiropractor through their exams and x-rays.

What are mirror-image adjustments?

Mirror-image adjustments are used by CBP chiropractors to counteract re-occurring subluxations. For example, if you come into the office and you have a rotated spine, a CBP chiropractor will adjust in the opposite direction to counteract that imbalance. Over time this type of adjustment helps to change the structure of the spine to neutral.

What is traction?

Traction helps retrain ligaments and muscles, to stretch tight muscles and to strengthen weak muscles. This is an important component to sustaining spinal correction.

Neck traction tables.

How else is CBP different?

CBP chiropractors typically do not use other modalities such as electro-stimulus machines. Those tend to be used by general chiropractors and physical therapists for symptoms and do nothing to correct spinal structure.

CBP Chiropractors look at healing your spine long term. They aren’t in it for the quick fix. You wouldn’t go to the gym and expect to go from fat to fit in one session, why would you expect the same from your spine? Your spine is the most important part of your body. CBP chiropractors want to help people by realigning their spines through focused adjustments and retraining your spine with traction. Continued CBP care will help to improve your quality of life.
